My practice integrates various counseling approaches to meet each client’s unique needs:

  • Humanistic Approach: I prioritize a warm, accepting, and non-judgmental counseling relationship where you can feel safe to explore your emotions. I believe in your innate capacity for healing and change, focusing on your experiences, emotions, and potential rather than just symptoms.
  • Gestalt-Inspired Approach: I incorporate mindfulness and self-awareness practices to help you understand emotional triggers and responses, empowering you to navigate your emotions in meaningful ways.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Approach (CBT-Informed Methods): I support clients in identifying unhelpful thought patterns and replacing them with more balanced perspectives. Together, we work on breaking cycles of avoidance and gently confronting fears in a structured way.
  • Holistic & Systemic Perspectives: I consider not only your emotions and thoughts but also your relationships, behaviors, and social context. This approach allows us to address challenges in a way that acknowledges your full experience.

Relationship & Couples Counseling

I work with all relationship structures, including monogamous, CNM, and polyamorous partnerships, as well as queer relationships more broadly. My approach is culturally aware and avoids reducing personal challenges to cultural or ethnic backgrounds. Instead, I focus on helping partners communicate openly, navigate conflicts, and build stronger, more fulfilling relationships.

I also offer a supportive space to explore topics of sexuality and compulsivity, ensuring that every client feels heard and respected without fear of judgment.

The emotion-focused approach

Especially in psychological counseling for couples. This approach relies on activating the emotions underlying behaviors and the dynamics that solidify over time in love relationships. It allows each partner to express these emotions, so I can introduce the other partner to their world, with the goal of creating a kind of understanding that leads to resolving the stagnant dynamics between both parties.
